Pilot witness in Is�re, France
On January 23, 1983, between 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., several witnesses observed a gray-black phenomenon in the sky at an estimated altitude of 2,500 meters. The object was elongated or "v"-shaped, with no shine. It moved horizontally and silently. Observation with binoculars did not allow identification of the object, but according to one of the witnesses, a former aircrew member, it resembled a contrail left by a Boeing 747.
