On May 21, 2008, between 11:30 PM and 12:20 AM, a witness observed the movement of a luminous phenomenon in the sky. Intrigued, he looked at the phenomenon through binoculars, then filmed his observation. Because the video leaves little doubt about the object observed — an aircraft approaching, seen from the front, with all its lights on — and because this area is likely to be a training zone for tactical transport aircraft, GEIPAN classifies this case as "B": probable observation of military aircraft on exercise. It should be noted, however, that the 50-minute duration of the observation is not consistent with the sequence described by the witness: either the witness saw more than two aircraft passes, which remains consistent with the proposed hypothesis, or he misjudged the total time of the observation.
