low frequency periodic hum (alternating persistent/intermittent 'patterns') i have headphones on almost all day, but also did in 2017 and heard no hum. if i jerk/snap/turn my head a time or two (or 6-7 times) quickly it usually goes away for a moment or a minute (or even 10 minutes.) upon returning the 'sensation' is overwhelmingly counter-intuitive in that it really convinces me that it originates from outside my head. the inability to reconcile these facts is rather maddening.
