A low hum in Everywhere I go. (Vietnam (many cities around the country), China (Shenzhen

It's like a horn or an old TV sound effect, but constant, a bit lower in pitch and volumne It gets a lot louder when the surrounding is quieter. I've heard this since I was a kid and the first time I realized it was when I couldn't sleep at night and this "uuuu" sound is loud. I thought it was the AC but it wasn't. And my parents had no idea what I was talking about. It stays with me and for some reason didn't annoy me at all. So I just learn to live with it. Interestingly enough, I only found out about "the Hum" recently and I don't even know if this is the same. It's inside my head, not from "the Earth" or whatever. This I am sure. Now when I think about it, I've never, ever, experienced "silence" because whenever it gets quiet, the sound gets louder.
