it is like an uneven engine, it doesn't seem to be the AC that is an even hum for example but more like an idling car engine but it feels like coming from the walls. It is not a "sound" but like a vibration sound, I tried earplugs thinking it was my husband's cpap machine or the next door's people's fridge or my fridge, or... and it is Worse, the ONLY thing I seem to "hear" is that, specially when trying to sleep. It is a noise that nothing can "cover" or hide. Tried breathing, tried almost everything until today I started researching if others hear that too and found "the hum". I work out regularly, I eat clean except for the diet coke, I just discovered this has a name, the "hum" so I never thought in comparing what it happens, where, I just got exhausted last night trying to sleep and the sound comes with me wherever I go. Rarely seems to stop sometimes but I think it gets mixed with environmental noises, discovered that last night, without ear plugs -that I started using because of this thinking it was a "noise", all the other house noises, fans, engines, seem not to cover it but at least is not the Only noise I hear.

The sound seems to come from the sky, an intense vibration. Similar to the frequencies emitted by a diesel engine of a car with a slight acceleration or a larger engine at slow speed. Someti…
