It's a low humming sound that occasionally pulses or warbles. I first started hearing the hum in 2021. That's not an option on this form. I moved to Duluth 2 weeks ago, and it's only been here that I've noticed it. I didn't hear it at all when I was living in Minneapolis. I think I've heard it the whole time I've been here, but the first week or so I thought it was a far off train or ship. It was only the other night that I realized something was off when it became clear my girlfriend, who was right next to me, couldn't hear it. I followed the instructions for finding the pitch and didn't use noise canceling headphones, but I wanted to know what would happen if I did use noise canceling headphones and was a little surprised by the result. I have a pair of Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones (https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/headphones/over_ear_headphones/quietcomfort-35-wireless-ii.html#v=qc35_ii_silver). As soon as you turn on the power their noise cancellation turns on. When I put on these headphones and turn on the power, the hum becomes much clearer and louder. I feel hesitant about submitting this information after only having heard the hum for a short period of time, but it's extremely clear to me that what I'm experiencing is indeed the hum that it seemed worthwhile. I would be happy to discuss this more if you think it would be useful. You can contact me at johnoleksowicz@icloud.com. I also have web programming experience and would be happy to assist with the website if it might be useful. Thanks so much for your research on this topic! If not for you I would probably still think I was going insane.
