Sounds like a big truck idling, or many helicopters are hovering, I can also feel the hum in my home/ in my body like when you feel the bass tones in your body at a concert. I think I'm sensitive to a low frequency sound since I had my daughter about 3 years ago. Since then i hear very faint noise and im alert even when sleeping so any noise that alerts me i can hear or will wake me. The first few times i noticed the hum, i felt it before i realized i could hear it. I live near an abandoned military base. I live near train tracks. Im not sure where, but there must be an air port near since I see airplanes constantly landing and taking off near by. The hum does not drown out slowly it simply stops.
