A very low frequency oscillating sound like a constant running large diesel engine in the distance. I have looked into this topic online, as well as trying to figure out what could be causing this hum that my partner does not hear. It sounds as though it is coming from the earth and vibrating into the house. But I have also read that it could be an individual hearing problem, but to me it does sound and feel like it is coming from an external source rather from within myself.
What they reported
First noticed: 2019
Pitch: Sine was the closest but triangle was close too. They all didn’t sound exactly the same as the low hum I hear though.
Loudest: During the night
Where: Indoors
Symptoms: Sense of vibration, Anxiety, It also makes me feel unsettled and makes it harder to sleep.
Changes with weather: No not really. I notice it more though when it is very calm weather. If it is windy or raining it helps to mask the hum and get me to sleep.
What stood out: a low hum
