A low humming/rumbling noise similar to a diesel engine running a pump at a constant rate and at a distance I absolutely know that the sound comes from within my own head and I would like to know how many people hearing this also have some form of Tinnitus as it seems logical they are related. A couple of times on quiet nights I could hear the sound quite loudly so got my wife to come and stand next to me and see if she could hear it. She couldn't hear a thing!
