A low hum in Booragoon Wastern Australia

Low hum with slight rumbling and vibration Those that are creative seem to be more sensitive to environments that others easily ignore. We seem to be tapped into things others dont see and feel. Notice and hear things others dont. Its a blessing and a curse. But this damn hum is an arse. Theres nothing nice of beautiful to it. Its cruel, irritating and relentless. It makes you question your sanity. Especially when you desperately ask others to hear it and they cant and they look at you side ways like youre nuts. Just ignore it. Just go to sleep. Well Duh... It changes your personality as its your own private daily struggle. It takes all your energy to keep being happy go lucky and lovely you never knowing how noisey or nasty the hum will be when it shows up. I wanted to fill in this questionairre as it given me some relief others have expressed they hear something too. And how theyve explained it to sound and act like is similar if not the same experince as mine.

What they reported

First noticed: 2009

Pitch: Sine but not low enough in pitch and with rumbling

Loudest: During the night

Where: Indoors

Symptoms: Insomnia, Sense of vibration, Anxiety, Irritation and mood disturbance from being angry that the noise is there that no one else can hear and that it effects me so badly when ive tried so hard to ignore it

Changes with weather: Yes when it is hot and still it is very loud. I like windy days and the rain as it masks it. I sleep and now even sit relax with a fan on next to me. Id rathar hear that noise than the irritating hum noise. Ive tried hypnosis recordings to help me ignore the noise. I cant wear ear buds they hurt to sleep in and i dont like ear blockers as i hear my heart beating and they too feel uncomfortable. So i pull up the doona and squish my head into the pillow put on the fan and try to sleep praying to be not irritated by the noise if its loud that night.
