A low hum in USA, Roswell

60 Hz constant hum - sometimes it seems louder than others but is most noticable at night when other ambient noises quiet down. It 'feels' like it's in my head - I can hear/feel a kind of vibration - others have heard it to while inside the house. There is an electrical box on my property, on the corner of the backyard. There is a buzz (electrical) that comes from the box, and I think it might be transmitting a vibration through the foundation or through the root system of a large tree in my backyard and that vibration transmits to my foundation. I've asked the electrical company to change the box or add some insulation to dampen the vibration but they have ignored my requests.
