Low frequency droning noise which has a vibration to it Yes - where do I think the source is? There is a Mushroom factory 2km up the road, the have a cooling plant an extractor fans that run 24x7x365. The factory is on a ridge and although they have walls around the property of 21 acres, the sound goes up and travels across the valley and bounces against my house, vibrating all the molecules. This is a multifrequency mechanical or acoustic resonance affected by air temperature. It is this factory with poor quality equipment causing air particle vibrations. It also upsets my animals - dogs and horses. Other people can hear it too, but very few men!!

Sounds like a distant engine, a low frequency sine sound wave. It is not constant, however. It comes and goes. But it does not sound like it comes from outside, because it is more like a vib…
