A low hun rumble that last for a few minutes at a time. My husband and sons hear it too. We live in the Midwest -country side- I'm 44, I've lived on this road (Indian Lake Rd, Jerseyville) since I was 12. This is a disruptive sound. We have heard it, turned the tv off and walked outside and can still hear it. Then eventually it fades away.
