Red lights in Deux-Sèvres, France
On August 16, 1980, at around 3:30 a.m., while returning from a public dance, a witness observed above a field an object shaped like a mushroom cap. With a diameter of 15 meters, it emitted a fairly intense red light. After approaching to about 400 meters, the witness became frightened and fled. During his journey, he was able to note that the object was flying over the village, still emitting red light and remaining completely silent.
