A triangle shape in Seine-Saint-Denis, France

On November 7, 2016 at 12:35 AM, a witness from his bedroom observed the passage in the sky of a very bright phenomenon of color ("round yellow flame base topped by a blue, red, green rather translucent triangle"). The movement with a slight upward trend is marked by a trajectory in small zigzags heading East. Only one testimony was collected. The witness probably observed a passage of helium-inflated LED balloons. The movement is consistent with the wind direction generally from West to East (see on the Infoclimat website). The movement in slight zigzag around a main axis is also consistent with an object carried by the wind. LED balloons can be assembled in clusters that can take various shapes and color combinations, like what was observed here (round shape plus triangle). See for example reusable long-life LED balloons. The flame appearance may result from the blinking of some of the balloons in the cluster, while others may have fixed lighting. The partial and progressive extinction of the UAP observed results from the end of life of the LEDs. Furthermore, it was a weekend night conducive to a festive event of this type. Consequently, GEIPAN classifies this case as B: probable LED balloon.
