On October 2, 1954, a witness was about to photograph a dolmen around 4 p.m. in sunny weather when he spotted an elliptical-shaped object of light color moving southwest to northeast. He took two photos and sent the negatives to the magazine "Radar." The gendarmerie learned of the event through the press and only met the witness on October 15. The prints were only attached to the first submission of the report (no photos attached to the copies of the report available at GEIPAN).
A brief investigation into this case was conducted by GEPAN in the late 1970s. It concluded that the photos had apparently not been published in the magazine "Radar" and that attempts to locate the witness (about 58 years old at the time) were unsuccessful.
The observation lasted only a few seconds, just long enough to take two photos one after the other. The phenomenon disappeared before the witness had time to adjust the settings on his camera. The description, too brief, and the absence of photos do not allow for analysis of this observation; GEIPAN classifies this case as C.
