Moving in formation in Vosges, France
On September 26, 2015 at 3:00 PM, a witness saw, for about 5 minutes, in a clear blue sky, 5 white dots slowly approaching, with no sound. The formation continued to fly, then entered a cloud and disappeared from the witness's view. Only one testimony was collected.
The observation of white dots flying together in a blue sky, in the same direction as the wind, clearly suggests balloons, probably released on the occasion of a celebration. The objects seemed to come from Remoncourt, to the northeast of the observer.
The wind recorded at Nancy is indeed a northeast wind (see the Météociel data.
The date and time (Saturday 3:00 PM) could correspond to a wedding (there was indeed a wedding in Remoncourt on 9/26).
