On June 13, 2014 at 12:56 AM, a witness was observing the stars with his new telescope and discovered two bright points moving together (same distance between them). He lost sight of them for good in the very starry sky. The witness reported his astonishment at the particular movements of the UAP. Only one testimony was collected. The witness provided sketches and a photograph. Of low strangeness and good consistency (single witness, but numerous astronomical reference points and photo), this case turns out to be a misidentification with a particular pair of satellites: a doublet of American military satellites NOSS-3 6. The UAP indeed presents all the typical characteristics of such a doublet: brightness, angular separation, trajectory, and timing perfectly consistent (see investigation notes). The photograph most likely does not show the UAP, but only the area where it disappeared. The double star 16 Cygni, appearing here in the form of two close points, was certainly interpreted by the witness as being the UAP. The stopping phases of the UAP can be explained by the discontinuity of the observation: temporary disappearance of the UAP due to the brightness of the Moon and the presence of numerous stars. This case is classified A, misidentification with the pair of American military satellites NOSS-3 6 (A) and (B).
