A triangle shape in Haute-Vienne, France

A female driver is intrigued by three successive sightings made on September 23 around 8:30 PM. At the exit of the A20 highway, the witness describes a large triangular shape with three lights (red, yellow, and blue) at each end. A little further on, she observes another similar shape farther away. And finally, around a bend, she catches sight of a luminous "potatoid" mass flying low and slowly, around which are small triangles. No other testimony will be collected. This case is based on 3 sightings by a single isolated witness, during a car trip of about ten kilometers. The witness's stress visibly increases during her account. The 2nd and 3rd sightings may therefore have been influenced by the observation of the first UAP, which strongly impressed the witness. These three sightings can all be subject to plausible explanatory hypotheses, but none of them could be proven (see the investigation report). The strangeness of this case can therefore be estimated at 0.5. The consistency of the account is weak: the female observer is isolated at the time of her account, even though she passes other vehicles that do not appear surprised by the UAP, which moreover astonishes the witness. She was very moved by these sightings during the interview, which may have disturbed the accuracy of the account. On the other hand, certain inconsistencies in the account (presence of the Moon) weaken the consistency of the UAP, evaluated at 0.5. In conclusion, based on these elements, GEIPAN classifies this case in category C, due to a lack of verifiable information and cross-checks.
