A triangle shape in Loire-Atlantique, France
On October 7, 2011 at around 10:15 PM, a witness observed for 15 seconds a luminous phenomenon in the sky. A group of three pale white triangular luminous objects, themselves arranged in a triangle, moved N.E/S.W. It was accompanied by a fourth object, separate from the group, further west, moving at the same speed and in the same direction. The whole thing moved silently under the clouds present that evening and eventually disappeared into the clouds.
No other testimony was collected on this phenomenon.
The witness's description of 4 luminous points moving slowly in a straight line suggests Thai lanterns.
But the triangular shape, the movement perpendicular to the wind (according to the readings from Nantes and St Nazaire provided by Météociel) do not allow confirming this hypothesis; the witness also does not recognize these lanterns.
