On Saturday, September 17, 2011, at around 11 p.m., a witness on their balcony is intrigued by the passage of an object they first take for a plane on fire heading toward Bordeaux-Mérignac airport (from south to north), at an elevation of about 40°. The observation lasts about 1 minute and 15 seconds.
