An orange orb in Paris, France

In the night from Friday 25 to Saturday 26 June 2010 at around 1 a.m., eight people observe in the Parisian sky the silent movement at low altitude and at constant speed of a very bright orange ball which suddenly makes a brutal drop in altitude and light intensity. Only one testimony will be reported to GEIPAN. Of low strangeness and low consistency (given the absence of independent testimonies), this observation case cannot be concluded although a strong presumption of a flying lantern remains in mind. This case is classified C for lack of independent testimonies and cross-checks allowing the flying lantern hypothesis to be validated or not.
