Vanishing suddenly in Tarn, France

On November 24, 1980 at around 10:20 PM, a motorist saw a whitish luminous point in the clear sky for one second. It moved from west to east along a straight trajectory and was located between 30° and 60° above the horizon. It disappeared instantly. No particular noise was heard during the observation. No other information was collected on this phenomenon, for which we lack information.
