Vanishing suddenly in Tarn, France
On September 4, 1989 at around 4:30 a.m., a man suffering from insomnia saw a strong glow through his open window. He got up and saw below in a field of alfalfa a luminous square about 10 meters on each side. This glow came from an object stationary above the roof of his house, an object shaped like a spinning top with multiple facets. After about 30 seconds, the phenomenon disappeared suddenly with no noise or odor.
The next day, the witness noted that the roof tiles (of the canal type) were brownish at the spot where the phenomenon had been stationary and that they had shifted, creating a gutter.
The contractor who carried out the roof repair confirmed that the tiles "were twisted clockwise over a length of 3 to 5 meters and that the ridge was sagging at the spot where the craft was observed."
The SEPRA investigation did not find an explanation for this observation.
