Very low humming, vibration with tumbling, grinding quality that waxes and wanes every second (0.92 average calculated over 50 cycles but these cycles also vary from less than a second to more than second at times), appears to be two or more waves merged together that create this note. Most of people start hearing it around age 40, per comments on internet. I am wondering if it is because of the changes in our hearing apparatus, as we age, that makes us more aware of it. In younger years we are able to hear higher frequency sounds but lose that ability as we age. Maybe, it is that we have this expansion of hearing ability on the lower end of the spectrum when we turn 40 or 50. (at least for some people)
