Like a constant low-frequency humming noise, like an idling diesel engine at around 67 Hz. Quite often very invasive. The local environmental authorities ran some audio recording with a class 1 phonometer. They were not able to confirm 67,x Hz (actually did not find it at all), but several frequencies as multiples of 8,x Hz. Is 67 Hz,x a harmonic generated possibly just in the ear?
What they reported
First noticed: 2006
Pitch: 67 Hz
Loudest: During the night
Where: Indoors
Symptoms: Ear discomfort (pain, fullness, throbbing), Headache, Insomnia, Nausea, Sense of vibration, When it is very intense, it sometimes feel like I am floating in my bed when trying to sleep
Changes with weather: Does have the impression that with snowfall the sound can be minimized
What stood out: a low hum
