A triangle shape in Hautes-Alpes, France
The gendarmerie was alerted to a sighting reported in the local press. On August 7, 1977, at around 1:30 in the morning, several people observed a luminous point at the top of a hill, then they gradually saw a large bright orange triangle appear. Seen in its entirety, the object had the shape of a cone and seemed to move toward them. Frightened, the witnesses left by car. The phenomenon disappeared, hidden by a hedge of trees. Having returned to the spot a little later with other people, they no longer observed anything. At the location indicated by the witnesses, no ground traces were found by the gendarmerie, and no other testimony was collected from the local population.
