On November 27, 2015 between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m., a witness at their home observes and films the movement of several objects in the sky. Only one testimony was collected. The witness saw several UAPs (see the two attached videos). Apart from one of them of spherical shape, these UAPs are airplanes, some flying high and leaving a white trail and others flying much lower (and therefore without a trail) following takeoff from Blagnac. Indeed, analysis of air traffic (Flightradar) shows a situation of two aircraft moving in opposite directions, north-south for the one flying low and south-north for the other, a situation exactly matching one of the videos and the witness's description, including for the elongated and wingless appearance that is classically found for aircraft at low altitude and seen in incident and grazing sunlight (10:30 a.m. in November). The spherical UAP is probably a toy balloon; its angular size is on the order of 0.5 tenths of a degree (size estimated from the size (a few cm) of the residual leaves of the nearby tree in the video frame and located 30 m from the filming point) and its elevation is between 15 and 20 degrees (still based on the nearby tree). It could be a child's balloon at very low altitude or a solar thermal balloon (a few meters in diameter (see solar balloon flights) at a distance of a few km and an altitude up to 1 or 3 km. The thermal balloon is more likely because the ground wind (west to east at the Blagnac station) hardly explains the strong north-south component of the observation, while the wind reading at higher altitude is indeed from north to south. This situation of wind reversal with altitude can also explain the trajectory reversal visible at the end of the video relating to the spherical UAP and which the witness describes as a "circular arc"; the balloon would in fact be in the altitude range (~1 km) corresponding to the wind reversal (see the document reconstructing the trajectories of the airplane UAPs, the geometry of the observation and the video of the sphere UAP, as well as the wind directions at ground level and at higher altitude). Consequently, considering only the spherical UAP (the others being airplanes), GEIPAN classifies the case as B: probable observation of a thermal balloon.
