An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Vende, France

On November 27, 2015, between 7:32 a.m. and 7:37 a.m., a female driver traveling on the A87 highway was intrigued by what she saw in the sky. She reported the presence of moving light beams in the sky. These moved rapidly and reminded her of a circular craft fitted with beams in a circle spinning on itself at high speed. Only one testimony was collected. This observation report of circular lights turning clearly evokes the light displays of a nightclub or other festive venue reflecting on the cloud layer and/or on a screen of fine rain (both were present that morning). The upward beams are not visible here. But depending on the conditions of the air layer, one can see the patterns created (on the sky screen) or the beams alone without the patterns, or both, somewhat like in a movie theater, imagining at times cigarette smoke (visible beams) with or without the presence of the screen (patterns present or not). Depending on atmospheric conditions, the effective distance of a laser is highly variable, and can reach tens of kilometers, which can make the phenomenon fleeting or even exceptional at a great distance from the point of emission. GEIPAN did not identify the emitter of the beam. The hypothesis of a technical test coming from the Puy-du-Fou installations is rejected after inquiry. Some nightclubs closing late on the night from Thursday to Friday, the origin of the phenomenon coming from a nightclub is possible even at 7:30 a.m. The neighboring nightclubs either could not be contacted, or refused to answer precisely. Other cases of the same type are on the GEIPAN website (use the keywords SKYROSE or LASER). Consequently, GEIPAN classifies this case as B: skyrose or light spots.
