An account in Nièvre, France

On July 19, 1976, at around 3 a.m., a motorist observed for a few seconds a stationary object of green color and intense luminosity. The observation distance was approximately between 300 and 400 meters. The shape of the object made him think of a bowler hat. No particular noise was heard by the witness when, at the rear of the object, a reddish color appeared and it disappeared rapidly toward the N-E. No other testimony was collected on this phenomenon, for which we lack information.
