On Saturday, May 9, 2015, at around 10:30 PM, a witness observed for 10 seconds the slow movement of an orange sphere in the night sky. The sphere lost intensity as it moved away. No other testimony was collected.
The observation of an orange ball crossing the sky in a few minutes, on a weekend night, clearly suggests a Thai lantern, probably released nearby at the end of a private party (possibly a release from the leisure center: see map).
The movement was observed from West to Southwest, which is consistent with the slight westerly wind recorded at Albi (see map and Météociel data).
