Red lights in Bas-Rhin, France
On June 22, 1976 at around 10:15 PM, several people in cars observed the rapid and silent movements, very high in the sky, of a red glow that intrigued them. This phenomenon, stationary above the oil terminal, reportedly then passed over the Herrlisheim-Drusenheim refinery before heading toward the Rhine and Germany. One of the witnesses took several photographs, but the film turned out to be unusable.
