On December 31, 2014, at around 7:30 p.m., a witness notices two lights in the sky, equidistant, stationary, and silent. After a few minutes, the lights pass slowly and silently over the rooftops of houses, out of the witness's sight. Only one testimony is collected. The observation of glowing balls crossing the sky in a few minutes, on a holiday night, suggests Thai lanterns, probably released nearby at the end of a private party. The movement observed is very slight, toward the west, which may be consistent with the weak and unstable wind, temporarily from the southwest, recorded in Lille by Météociel. The directions of movement indicated by the witness are not very consistent across the various parts of the testimony.
