An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Gironde, France

On January 8, 2015, at around 7:35 PM, a witness, inside his vehicle, observed for one minute, through a break in the clouds, 5 bright points in the sky: 3 points perfectly aligned, the other two completing the set to form a diamond shape. It was the witness himself who found the explanation for his observation a few days later, by observing the same sight in the same direction under a clear sky: the 3 bright aligned points are "the belt" of the constellation Orion (see star chart). It was the fact of seeing these stars isolated in the middle of the clouds, without their stellar context, that temporarily gave them their strange character. GEIPAN classifies this case "A": certain observation of the constellation Orion, between clouds.
