This observation case is fairly typical of observations of Thai lantern releases. The red color of the envelope, the movement in a group, the upward movement and/or movement with the wind (north wind that evening: weather), the disappearance (extinguishing) after a few minutes, the day and time (Friday evening) of the observation, are all clues in favor of this hypothesis. The movement toward the south (Grigny, Evry) is consistent with the north wind recorded at that time at Orly.
