An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Nivre, France

On July 20, 2013, around 11:30 PM to 11:45 PM, two witnesses observed the presence of two intense lights in the sky. The first light was orange in color, and the second was reddish-purple. No sound accompanied their movements or their disappearance in different directions. Only one testimony was collected. This case of observing luminous balls clearly evokes Thai lanterns, though with a few unusual features: on the one hand, the reddish-purple color, which is fairly rare, and above all the different movements of the two lights. The Météociel weather report for Nevers indicates unstable wind at that time, which could potentially explain why the two objects did not follow the same trajectory. GEIPAN classifies this case as "B": observation of Thai lanterns.
