On February 7, 2013 at around 9:45 PM, a witness and his wife observe the slow movement of an object that intrigues them. The description given by the witness has all the characteristics of an aircraft on approach: a slow luminous shape, then a black cylindrical shape. The time he mentions, 9:45 PM, coincides with the arrival of the AIR CORSICA MARSEILLE-BASTIA flight, which departs at 9:05 PM from MARSEILLE and normally lands at BASTIA at 9:55 PM; this may correspond to what he saw. BASTIA PORETTA airport is located 3 or 4 km as the crow flies from the observation point, to the northwest. See the appendix for the approach paths of the Bastia airfield: in red, the route used when the wind is from the southwest, as on that day (see weather report). What is surprising is the witness's astonishment, who states the phenomenon was twice as low as usual aircraft; it is noted that the witness was not at his home, he then had a different viewpoint from his usual one.
