both described a triangle shape
Val-d'Oise, France · 2009-07-04 · from the GEIPAN archive
On July 4, 2009 at around 1 a.m., four people observe in the sky the movement of two large white lights that disappear quickly, followed by 3 other smaller ones that leave in different directions. One witness reports that these three lights form a triangular shape in the sky. No noise is heard during the 15-minute observation. The witness will go to the gendarmerie. The Geipan will however receive only one testimony by email. The observation took place on the night from Friday to Saturday around 1:00 a.m. The described characteristics of 2 white lights followed by 3 other smaller lights with fluctuating trajectories, moving without noise, could lead to the plausible hypothesis of flying luminous lanterns. Nevertheless, the old observation date and the lack of information (despite the witness's good will) do not allow further investigations to be conducted. This case is classified in category C: lack of information.
