On December 11, 2007 at around 8:40 PM, two witnesses observed glows in the cloudy sky over Toulouse. One of the people testified to having observed for 25 minutes the rapid movements of slightly oval, white, and opaque shapes that created different geometric figures through the clouds. He filmed his observation for a few minutes with his mobile phone. No particular noise was heard during the observation. The gendarmes viewed the video taken by this witness and indeed distinguished some movements (see report). According to the descriptions given by the witness and after having ruled out an astronomical misidentification, it is probable that these people observed a light display (significant duration of the phenomenon). This type of moving spots on a cloud ceiling is frequently a source of misidentification and depending on weather conditions the beams may not be visible.
