a hum, low frequency buzz (as said before, like an idle truck two streets away) i would like to add, that i have been a victim of this noise for over 10 years and have done my own homework on the subject. My work takes me into the small hours of the night-time and as a result lead me head on because of it's intrusiveness. At first i thought it was tinnitus because of my age so i put on headphones but the source was from outside. I have narrowed it down to about 75 Htz. a frequency very popular with mobile devices and modern visual devices. On a parting note may i point out that I have recently moved house. My new house is in a local notorious mobile black spot. No WIFI, Dongle, 3G, even the TV is pants. No Cable or fibre optic yet. BUT NO HUM!!! This must be relevant.
