Vanishing suddenly in Europe, Austria
Exceptionally pure sinewave at a a constant frequency of approx. 40...60Hz but with a distinct stereophonic phasing effect, ranging from �monaural� to �out-of-phase� perception - depending on positioning and turning of the head in relation to the room boundaries! (1) I�ve ruled out mains electricity by completely shutting it down. (2) I�ve heard it very distincly at my acoustically isolated and well-damped mastering studio (ground floor, 40+12 m�). I could track it through most of the ground floor, though it seemed to attenuate in smaller rooms and completely vanished in the basement and outside. My wife occasionally was distracted from sleep by this very sound at the first floor (60m�) at the same time. No occurance for the last several months.
