constant humming sound coming from the east, loudest at night and during winter season. I thought the sound was coming from Trains idling on the tracks about 2 miles aways, but then I would notice no trains on the line when i would pass by the tracks on the way to work. The sound seemed to come directly from the east where the train track were located. Then I noticed a few miles farther to east the Big plume of smoke from the Waukegan Generating Station. I have strong suspicions that the sound is coming from the generating station. I believe the sound may also be resonating through the ground as it can be loud in my basement.
