A constant low frequency hum like an electric current - the type of sound you might expect to hear from a guitar amp Yes. This sound is only discernible at a specific location in my bedroom. It is centered right where my head rests on the pillow and slightly to the right - just over my bedside table. If I sit up a metre or so off the bed, it disappears. If I turn around and lie at the other end of the bed, it all but disappears. If I get down and lie on the floor it disappears. I can stand above the bed and activate the sound by bending forward over my pillows and make it disappear again by standing up. This is the only point in the house where it occurs. I have tested this by turning off the mains power so it cannot be from any electrical source within our apartment. We have been here for three years and the hum has only become discernible in the last week.
