An account in England, Carnforth
A long drone that goes on and off. I feel it's vibration in my chest as well as hear it. It seems to stops when I move suddenly or speak but soon starts again. I have only heard it in my house, upstairs particularly. My ears are fine. No tinnitus. I don't hear it at work 30miles away. Nobody I ask can hear it, including my neighbours. I was convinced it was something industrial in the area but nobody I speak to has any idea what I'm talking about.
I switched everything off in my house, exiled the fridge to the shed, and I could still hear it.
It's driving me crazy and I hate it. Don't think so

Has this happened to you?
Write it down while you still remember the details. We will look for the others.
If this reminds you of something a friend or a relative told you once and never mentioned again, send them this page. Reading that a stranger described the same thing is usually the part that helps.
