An open record of things people cannot explain

Haut-Rhin, France · 1979-01-31 · from the GEIPAN archive

An account in Haut-Rhin, France

On December 31, 1979 (and not January as indicated in the report in the "investigation" paragraph) between 11:15 PM and 12:30 AM, two witnesses observe in the sky two particular lights. These sometimes appear to be connected by a set of very bright coils of several colors. The observation was not continuous and the phenomenon disappeared completely around 1 AM. No other testimony was collected on this phenomenon, for which we lack data.
