An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Jura, France

In September 1979 at around 6:30 PM, a witness, while alone outside his property, observed a luminous object appearing at the horizon. This object advanced very slowly in a south-to-north direction. Thinking it was an airliner, the witness did not take his eyes off the object. It came to a stop above him: the witness then observed a very bright spherical object, metallic gray in color. After stopping for about a minute, the object left again, but in the opposite direction, reached the horizon in a few seconds, and disappeared for good. No particular noise was heard during the observation. This very late testimony (October 2007) and poorly documented does not allow for a serious investigation that could validate or not certain hypotheses such as an airliner turning, a balloon subject to wind shear, etc.
