An account in Moselle, France

On March 7, 1978 at around 7:15 p.m., two witnesses on their terrace observed two red dots stacked vertically in the direction of the south-southeast. The observation lasted two minutes, then the dots suddenly went out. After a few seconds, a dot of the same size emitting a white glow appeared and moved at high speed toward the northeast. The observation lasted one minute. Another witness later gave a statement concerning an observation of a luminous dot moving across the sky, but the time did not match the first observation. No other testimony was collected concerning this phenomenon, for which we lack information.
