An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Bas-Rhin, France

Following an article in the local press stating that a witness had reportedly seen an unidentified flying object in the sky, the gendarmerie proceeded to search for other possible witnesses. Two witnesses who were found stated that on August 11, 1977, at around 10:30 p.m., they had observed a very bright, motionless object in the sky. Viewed through binoculars, the object had spheres emitting a yellow light at its base and a kind of red beacon light that flashed. It then moved slowly, with no sound heard, before disappearing. These witnesses had probably observed the passage of an aircraft of the helicopter type.
