On September 9, 2015 at 9:30 PM, a witness saw for 3 seconds, above the Belledone mountain range, the movement of a rectangular shape of pale yellow color, marked in its middle by a black stripe. No noise was heard during the movement of this shape on a straight descending trajectory. No change of course was noticed. Only one testimony was collected. The observation site of the UAP is located only 3 km from an extremely active free flight (paragliding) area. The described appearance is compatible with a paraglider that would have made a night flight (aeronautical night begins 30 minutes after the local time of sunset). Night flight (paraglider, hang glider) is regulated. The aircraft must carry two lights (one green and one red). In addition, a night flight must be declared to the prefecture and can only take place three days before or after a full moon. This is not the case here.
