An account in Vende, France

On Friday, August 28, 2015, between 9:00 PM and 9:15 PM, four people in a garden observed in the sky the presence of two orange lights. One light seemed fixed due west and the second, moving, came from the northwest. The lights disappeared one after the other heading southwest. No noise was heard during the one-minute observation. The witness had time to take 4 photographs. Only one testimony was collected by the gendarmerie. The series of photos analyzed (see the investigation note) shows, with good probability, two Thai lanterns, moving with the wind. The observation took place on a Friday evening, a day of the week conducive to weekend festivities (weddings, various parties) during which such lanterns may be launched. Consequently, GEIPAN classifies it as B: probable Thai lanterns.
